Why we recommend it
The fallen in the Phoenix Fire world has literal significance — fallen angels, fallen hierarchy, fallen from a position that wasn't optional. Wright writes the paranormal romance with the fallen framing as the hero's condition: what it means to be fallen in this world, and the Phoenix who is the only thing that changes the dynamic.
