Why we recommend it

She was chosen for a deal she didn't agree to, bound to a court she doesn't understand, serving a king who has no interest in her comfort. Kova writes the dark romantasy with a fairy-tale structure and genuine political stakes — the deal has terms, and learning what they actually mean is the story.
