Why we recommend it
The beast is what she's been given — not a metaphor, an actual beast. Snow writes the dark paranormal with the beast mythology made literal and the beauty-and-the-beast premise pushed to its darkest corner, where the beast is genuinely monstrous and the beauty is the heroine's choice about what to do with that.
