Why we recommend it
A series opener wreathed in onyx mist and longing, made for readers who love wishes that come with dangerous costs. Expect a moody, atmospheric world, a love interest shrouded in secrets, and tension that smolders before it ignites. The dark romantasy mood is rich and brooding here, ideal for fans of bargains, magic, and slow-burning desire that refuses to play it safe.
