Unattainable: the heroine's position relative to what she wants, or what he is to the people who want him. Sheehan writes the MC romance with the unattainable as the structural condition — she shouldn't have him, or he's supposed to be unreachable, and the romance is about what happens when the unattainable is attained regardless.
