A corsair: a pirate, a raider, a man who takes what he wants from the space lanes. Dixon writes the sci-fi alien romance with the corsair mythology translated into alien terms — the bed in the title is both sanctuary and claimed territory, and the heroine in it wasn't put there by accident.
