The Midnight Breed series continues with an awakening — a Breed warrior and the woman whose presence reactivates something in him that had gone dark. Adrian writes the vampire paranormal with the awakening as both literal and metaphorical: he was functionally cold before she arrived, and the midnight is when the living starts.
