Why we recommend it

The one that started the monster/alien romance trend: a crashed spaceship, a frozen alien world, and the large blue barbarians who find the human women valuable in ways that turn out to be the resonance bond. Dixon writes the alien romance with earnestness and warmth — the ice is the setting, the barbarians are the premise, and the series has never let the concept down.
