The quiz scores up to 400 currently published catalogue entries. Books carrying any content-warning tag you choose to avoid are removed before scoring.

These weights are the current defaults and may be tuned as the catalogue improves. A match percentage is a relative recommendation score, not a probability that you will enjoy the book.
The Quality component is not a literary-quality or content-safety judgment. It uses a 0–100 Bayesian rating composite: an available external star rating and count are blended with a 3.9/5 genre prior weighted as 50 reviews; verified on-site reviews can contribute up to 40%, and first-party likes and “read” actions add a small capped lift. When an external rating is missing, the prior is used.
Spice, darkness, trope and warning labels are automated editorial catalogue classifications inferred conservatively from the title, author and assigned subgenre — not from a full-text reading. They may be incomplete, incorrect or edition-specific. Warning exclusion removes only titles carrying the selected tags; the absence of a tag is not assurance that the content is absent.
